Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started with her debut as an Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but she fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina returned to the ring after the defeat and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights before losing her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
