Nathalie is born in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England as the child of a man from Saint Lucian and English descent and a mother of Dominican origin. Nathalie acknowledges her mother as her initial inspiration to be an actor. The role she played was Young Nala in The West End Production of The Lion King when she was aged 10.
